1. Download Ledger Live
Visit the official Ledger website at ledger.com/ledger-live. Choose the correct version for your system — Windows, macOS, Linux, or mobile (Android/iOS).
Important: Only download from the official Ledger website to prevent phishing or fake software attacks.
2. Install Ledger Live
Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen setup instructions.
Launch Ledger Live after installation.
Select your language preference and accept the terms of service.
Once installed, you’re ready to connect your Ledger device and log in securely.
3. Connect Your Ledger Device
Use the provided USB cable to connect your Ledger Nano S, Nano S Plus, or Nano X to your computer. For mobile users, the Nano X can also connect via Bluetooth.
Tip: Always confirm any connection or transaction directly on your Ledger device screen.
4. Log In to Ledger Live
Open Ledger Live and click Get Started.
Select your device model and setup type: New device or Restore from recovery phrase.
Enter your PIN on your Ledger hardware device (not on your computer).
Ledger Live will detect your wallet and sync your accounts.
5. Manage Your Crypto
After login, you can:
View your portfolio balance and transaction history.
Send and receive cryptocurrencies securely.
Install or remove crypto apps on your Ledger device.
Stake or exchange supported assets within Ledger Live.
6. Security Best Practices
Only use official Ledger URLs and software.
Keep your recovery phrase private and offline.
Confirm addresses and amounts on your device screen before sending funds.
Keep your firmware and Ledger Live app updated.
Use a strong PIN and enable optional passphrase protection for extra safety.
7. Troubleshooting Login Issues
Device Not Detected
Ensure the cable and USB port are functioning properly. Restart Ledger Live and reconnect your device. For Bluetooth, verify the pairing on your phone.
Forgot PIN
If you forget your PIN, reset your Ledger device and restore it using your 24-word recovery phrase. Without it, recovery is not possible.
Recovery Phrase Problems
Make sure your recovery phrase is entered in the correct order and spelling when restoring your wallet.
